men!

Men are like Laxatives - They irritate the shit outta you
Men are like Weather - Nothing can be done to change them
Men are like Blenders - You need one, but you're not quite sure why
Men are like Commercials - You can't believe a word they say
Men are like Government Bonds - They take sooooooooo long to mature
Men are like Mascara - They usually run at the first sign of emotion
Men are like Lava Lamps - Fun to look at, but not very bright
Men are like Parking Spots - All the good ones are taken, the rest are handicapped

That is why i've been telling people around me time and again the reason i'm single, why i choose to be single and why i'm not gonna be bothered with any relationships anymore.

I mean... i earn my own living, i purchased my own car, and a family mechanic helps with the maintenance, if i have a flat, i can fixed it myself, i purchased my own house, i'm good with DIY furnitures from IKEA, and if i need someone to fix the pipe, or lights or whatever that is not functioning, there's always the plumper, the electrician... i pay for my own holiday, i solve my own problems, i pay for my own shopping, i take care of myself, and if i fall sick, the doctor will take care of me... so someone please tell me why the heck do i need a man in my life???

and Bob Marley sang... "no woman, no cry"... for me, it should be "no man, no cry"

sap sap sui...

this year, i decided to fill up my tax form myself... and it is actually not that difficult. i have always imagined it to be a total nightmare... i was so wrong! i mean, there were some hiccups here and there, but nothing too major, and nothing that can't be solved over the telephone with my dad's accountant :)

i feel like such a grown up now... having done my taxation myself... having bought myself a new car... and having bought a house as well... now my aim to get myself to russia for a holiday!!

quarterly review

It's 4 months into 2006 and i guess it's time to review the new year solutions i did back in January:

1. to get fit and run a half marathon - will be running in my first half marathon this coming June!! Have to really focus on my training now.

2. to get fitter and run a full marathon

3. to get fitter and make at least a new friend at the gym - HA! Still no new friends in the gym. And i doubt i'll be making any new friends in the near future... thanks to my new 5th Generation iPod.

4. to be nicer to my sis / parents / family - trying, trying, trying still

5. to go see angkor wat - YES!! Going in September. I reckon i deserved a good birthday getaway :)

6. to attend my friend's wedding in bangkok, and shop

7. to visit my friend and cousin in singapore - hopefully will be able to see them next weekend :)

8. to get an increment - STILL HOPING FOR IT, and working hard for it...

9. to get a newer car - SOON SOON... my new car should be out by next weekend. FINALLY!!

10. to clear off all my credit card debt - still trying hard :(

Hmmm... i think i'm doing a pretty good job as i will be achieving half of them... not bad at all, not bad at all (pat on the back, hehehe)

blame it on technology!!

i was so pissed at my brand new ipod yesterday that i almost threw it against the wall. i just simply cannot tolerant when technology don't work like they are supposed to. i mean... i did pay for the technology didn't i? and it's supposed to be an apple isn't it? and apple equals one of the best technology does it not? so how can it not function as it's supposed to???

so i bitched about my frustrations to my friends and a good friend said this to say "maybe it's the user that is stupid" Hahahahhahahah... that is so funny, NOT!! i mean, i was fuming mad, and he was cracking jokes with me?!?!?!

all the frustrations were driving me nuts... it was also driving my friends nuts. hence, i tuck the supposedly 'the top 5 coolest gadget' (as mentioned on fly fm this morning) to own into my bag, hoping to forget about it.

after a good nite's sleep... i finally managed to get it running, and i'm happy to say that now my ipod has got songs in there!! soon, i shall attempt to download movies and music videos. i mean, it's a bloody 30GB gadget, might as well make full use of it!

i still refuse to believe that the user was stupid... i choose to believe that it was simply not 'user friendly'.

hahahahahhahahaha... now i can laugh about it ;)
